| 1. Function as a primary instructor for RefugeeWorks' training activities, which includes designing programs and developing new curriculums for emerging refugee populations and refugee-related employment issues. 2. Function as the lead for the RefugeeWorks quarterly newsletter, and monthly e-newsletters. In this role, the publications coordinator will be responsible for writing, researching, and interviewing individuals for newsletter articles. 3. Coordinate production of RefugeeWorks' newsletter, which includes drafting articles, editing content, and working with designer and print firms on final layout. 4. Conduct research that supports the mission and activities of RefugeeWorks, including best practices in refugee employment, labor market analyses, trends and issues. 5. Conduct visits to local refugee service agencies and provide consultation for individualized technical assistance as requested. 6. Assist in writing quarterly reports, needs assessments, technical assistance reports and technical assistance materials. 7. Carry out network-building activities such as conference calls and listservs with all sectors of refugee employment network. 8. Maintain clear and consistent communication with the director; ensure that program activities fall within the parameters established by the director; keep the director aware of major developments and trends in the industry; and ensure the director's support for major project activities and fund-raising. 9. Contribute to and, when appropriate, propose initiatives that involve cross-departmental collaboration; participate in agency wide task forces; and assist with events that foster community among LIRS staff. 10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. |
