| Description: | If you are passionate about transforming communities for migrants and refugees through development and fundraising efforts with a mission-driven organization, then we have the opportunity for you! Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS), is seeking an Annual Giving Manager to join its Development team. The Annual Giving Manager will support LIRS's ongoing mission of transforming communities into those of welcome for migrants and refugees by designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive strategy for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual contributors. |
| Duties: | • Develop an annual giving plan through the establishment of goals, objectives, and action steps that will result in increased annual contributions to LIRS from a variety of donors, both within and outside the organization's traditional funder base. • Serve as the lead contact for the direct mail program, working closely with LIRS's vendor to develop, implement, and coordinate strategies for donor retention, new donor acquisition, and increased average gift size. • Work with Development and Outreach staff to spearhead strategies that engage and steward both congregational and mid-level ($250 - $999) donors. • Manage a variety of other annual giving campaigns. • Design and test cultivation and stewardship vehicles designed to keep the organization's contributors informed and engaged. • Develop and manage a financial budget for the annual giving program. |
| Qualifications: | • Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred. • Minimum of three to five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising with a focus on annual giving. • Demonstrated experience with donor management database. (Raiser's Edge preferred) • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point and other Microsoft software is essential. • Demonstrated experience executing a variety of messaging strategies. • Experience and demonstrated comfort level working with churches and congregations. • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical and planning skills. • Willingness and ability to learn new systems and technologies. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Deep commitment to LIRS's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
